Overview

Thank you to all attendees and sponsors of the 2014 U.S.-Africa Infrastructure Conference!

The Corporate Council on Africa hosted its 6th U.S.-Africa Infrastructure Conference October 7-9, 2014 in Washington DC. This three-day conference brought together more than 400 public and private sector representatives from across the U.S. and Africa to discuss infrastructure development in some of Africa’s key growth sectors.

Themed “Building Resilient Cities,” the conference highlighted mechanisms by which major metropolises in Africa are responding to rapid urbanization, and showcased investment opportunities in construction, energy, ICT and tourism. The conference kicked off with a special seminar on Doing Business with the African Development Bank, which offered attendees insight into the bank’s structure, procurement process and support for the private sector. The conference also featured an active Expo and numerous networking opportunities through which countless connections and new business deals were made throughout the week.

Thank you to all of those who attended the conference and to the generous Infrastructure Conference sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible.
